Ferachol I am sad to say I had not been aware of this album at the time of its release or Grammy nom but am a longtime fan of Somi’s work-elegant, adventurous, thought provoking and mood inducing-so I was glad when it came on my radar. This work in the live atmosphere brings me in the room. I know it is one I will be coming back to time and time again and I am glad she let us into “the holy room”.
For all interested: hr-bigband.de (Frankfurt Big band’s official site) still has this concert up to see

Jon Blake Having loved the last 2 albums, I was really looking forward to this. It lives up to this and more.
Somi and this band have it all. A voice you can get lost in, beauty, truth, beats, musicianship.
Wish I could have been there.
Can’t wait for the next release. The world needs you

tREBLEFREE Somi has become one of the most engaging storytellers that I've ever heard. Every album is an adventure in groove, composition, humility, and balance. If Sade & Fela Kuti made a baby, she'd be that child. Favorite track: Ankara Sundays (Live).
